I purchased the bike from a museum in the USA and was already restored in Germany by a previous owner. They did not have any documentations. The ID plate is original and matches with the frame and engine. I never planned on riding the bike but wanted to make sure it stayed in good working order so I took it to BMW motorad in my area to do a full points check over on the bike. The bike was serviced with fresh proper oils and the cable controls were all adjusted and brakes as well. The BMW foreman took it for a test run around their building which is shown in the video. The Paint is in excellent condition and the pin stripping is top notch. I have 4 pre WW2 BMW's and this is great work. It's just the nature with a motorcycle that is almost 100 years old and originated on the other side of the ocean. I have an R17, R63 and R12 and none have original paperwork. The owner before the museum had done the restoration in Germany but I am not sure who exactly performed it. The bike speaks for itself. The bike was inspected thoroughly and BMW confirmed everything is original and the ID plate info is correct and original as well. This is a great example of an R62.
