Early on you would receive your kit just a few weeks before you had to lock in your specs. They doled them out slowly as build slots came open. Later in the program they ran out of kits due to supply chain issues (as explained to me by the Ford GT concierge assigned to me). By the spring of 2021 when I had to spec out my car, they were out and I had to spec it out without the help of the order kit. I finally got mine a while after I got my car.
