Some of the last ones were labeled \"Grey Lady.\" Many had wire wheels and a big mascot, but not all. This is a genuine 100 mph car with 100 hp, although later versions of the same engine had as much as 150 hp. The upholstery looks to be the original pattern. The front bumper over riders are missing, and the square sections they cover are the front jacking points. The rear bumper is going to require a replacement or some serious surgery and re chroming. The entire suspension needs going through, and besides a lot of time spent under the car with a wire wheel and black paint, the whole car needs to be taken down to the metal and resprayed. Alvis would paint these cars anyway you wanted them, Some color combinations look much better than others, but that's personal choice. Much smaller than a contemporary Bentley, they still weigh 3500 lbs. My research shows that this Alvis left the works on January 26, 1955. It is listed as a TC21/100 and is exactly as it appears. Red Triangle has new front bumper over riders and a new rear bumper blade in stock. They also have a new fuel tank, although the original might be repairable. This Gray Lady (not an official name, but the factory did use it as a nickname) needs a lot of TLC, the aforementioned parts, and new carpets. Contemporary and more recent reviews are online if you take the time to search for them. Alvis shipped few cars to the U.S. and built very few cars with LHD. I will bid accordingly.
