I have been building what I hope will be an authoritative list over time as I own #1781 and am personally interested in distribution, colors, etc. I can tell you that of the 282 cars in the USA I have tracked so far, I am aware of 10 in White with 1978 livery. So call that 1.8% of the total which I think one can reasonably pro forma out to whatever the actual USA count is. My gut feel is the USA distribution is around 600 cars. Two other factoids perhaps people will find interesting, (1) this is car #1290. Car #1291 is a Switzerland car in Roughroads livery, and (2) numbers were assigned sort of randomly other than special requests that some dealers and 918 customers asked for....this VIN ends in 228, the next closest VIN I have is 223 which is #0547, which happens to be another USA car in White w/1978.
