Just this afternoon I took the 2004 I just bought off of here a couple of months ago for a nice drive. Leather dashboard. Leather door panels. Leather center console sides and armrest. Leather pocket between the seats on the rear bulkhead. Double-stitched (not sure the correct term) leather running up the A pillars. Real aluminum around the instruments. Real aluminum knobs on the controls of the Final Edition models. Lots of curved surfaces -- not flat, kit-car-ish surfaces. And the seats -- the leather on them is nicer than almost any other car I have been in save a modern Aston Martin (and even then, it is still a thicker leather, which I prefer).\r\n\r\nThe interior, at least in the V8s (which is all I've ever been in), is far nicer than the interiors of contemporary BMWs and Mercedes. Lotus changed the stitching in the seats, added the Lotus logo to the shift knob, and subtly changed the design of the lower rear valance. To my mind, the only real significant difference was adding a set of specially valved Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs to the suspension. These key parts are still available from Lotus.\r\nWith respect to the interior, I agree with the majority of responses that the quality of the leather and wool carpet are world class.
