You will first want to make sure the vehicle conforms to EPA's standards in stock form and get the exhaust swapped back over before crossing the border. Then, there are two forms you will need to fill out; the HS-7 and the 3520-1. You will also need a bill of sale showing the purchase price from the seller and the vehicle title (or in some provinces in Canada, they don't issue titles so the registration replaces the need for the title). Then you'll give the documents to the border patrol when you cross, they will inspect & collect - in this case should be a 2.5% tariff on your purchase price, and finally if they approve, they will provide you with another form that you can take to your local DMV to have the vehicle registered in the US. The RS6 is the better car. My research suggests the next e63 and M5 wagons both will be plug-in hybrid, so this may be the last truly great wagon you can buy. Having owned lots of fast cars, including seven 911\u2019s, I can say that for 99% of my real world driving, this is the most exciting car I\u2019ve ever had. On a track a 911 would win, but around town and on the highway, this is more fun. The noises it makes when it throttle blips shifting at a stop sign make short trips around town exciting. And it\u2019s almost scary letting the back end loose going too fast on an on-ramp. It\u2019s that powerful. But put it into its normal drive mode and it\u2019s as tranquil as my wife\u2019s A6 Allroad. This may be the best all around car ever made.
