Not that you asked, but beyond that change, the radiator grilles & plinths were also switched from a fluted chrome design to a smooth chrome design. \ud83e\udd13\r\n\r\n@Nautivan, from what I\u2019ve learned, there were 788 Jaguar VDP S/C & Jaguar Super V8s imported to North America and 2483 Daimler Super V8s manufactured for other markets. So, there were essentially 3271 of these vehicles manufactured.\r\n\r\nThese cars ride so wonderfully, and handle surprisingly well\u2014think floaty land yacht, yet with ample ability to be tossed into curves and bends at speed. They have a magical blend of compliance and control that I\u2019ve never quite experienced in another luxury car. Not to mention, the body lines are stunning, and the car makes you feel so incredibly special when commanding it down the road. As a regular BaT viewer and having sold a couple of vehicles here, it\u2019s generally something sellers do. Ambient outside temp has nothing to do with a cold start of an engine. All that means is the car is \u201cstone cold\u201d after sitting overnight, and the owner demonstrates by touching certain metal engine parts that a car is indeed not been started and warmed up. The reason for this is that some cars have starting issues and may not start easily, which would alert bidders of a potential engine issue. You\u2019ve posted videos of your car running, which is good. A cold start video is likely not an issue with your very nice, low mileage car. However, just another way to give comfort to potential buyers. Driving videos are nice to have as well as it shows how a car accelerates and drives. Issues can be noted too. For instance, on a recent BaT auction of a replica Cobra, I noted that when the car was driven down the road in a straight line, the steering wheel was canted far off to the right, indicating possible alignment issues or front end problems. Again, I imagine your car is just fine. Just another way for a seller to show the possible buyers that your car is all well and good. Just my two cents. It has been the most amazing experience to drive her and feel extreme happiness when I do take her out, but realize that she should be with a car enthusiast who has the expert knowledge as you and others have shown. For my practical purposes, I should be driving a \"normal\" car for my errands. I have considered storing her and purchasing another car but I'm not a collector, truth be told. I am driving her today (have not done so in 6 weeks although my home watcher has turned engine on as well as the photographer who took the posted pictures). I will try to video from cold start in my garage. My car doesn't pull one way or the other, doesn't have any shifting issues, just runs smoothly, always. I do use a trickle charger when away. I have had the car thoroughly examined, between Jaguar dealer and more recently by a local Jaguar automotive expert.
