I've always said I'd never sell her but a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has me moving to New Zealand next year. So, sadly, we must part ways. Couple things (and I'll try to keep the bullets short for the tl;dr crowd:\r\n- No, I didn't install AC. There are reasonable priced pre-fabbed kits available but it's never been a concern of mine. \r\n- It does have a custom power steering setup which utilizes the Mazda pump attached to the LS. I matched the pulley ratios to spin the pump at 13B speed. Many swapped FDs are criticized for crappy steering feel due to the use of an overboosted GM PS pump. Using the Mazda pump keeps it feeling very OEM. It's slick and looks stock-ish. \r\n- 265's... yep. I wanted the 285 Federals but there was a pretty long lead time on them. With that said, these 265s do run a bit wide and hook remarkably well with a 140 tread rating. \r\n- Weight is 2735. It's actually a couple lbs lighter than when I started the swap. I didn't buy it as a roller, it was a beautiful one owner FD with maintenance records. Some of the more hardcore rotary folks hate to hear this... I'm sorry but not sorry. My money, my build :) \r\n- Exhaust has a 3\" electric cutout (dump) right before the merge. \r\n- I do have a couple videos I'm going to work on editing tonight. One is a cold start and leisurely drive. She'll put along at 1600 RPM with no excuses or zing to 7000 without issue. No breaking up, no weird behavior or surging. The tune is spot on and the Dominator EFI setup is a peach. \r\n- There is a lot more here than what is listed. For example, it's got an $1,100 Davis Traction Control System fitted. It was pretty solid piece but I discovered a couple of weak links in it after the last big round on mods in 2015. The twisting of the diff under hard acceleration started to tear one of the mounting ears off the cradle (impressive!). This manifested itself as a bit of a clunking noise noted on decel. I pulled the whole rear subframe out, sandblasted it, and brought it to my fabricator. We took a long hard look at it and determined the foundation and execution were pretty good. However, we redesigned the diff mounts themselves and heavily gusseted the existing structure. The subframe was then powdercoated and put back in the car. Since it was down, I took the opportunity to swap out the stock 3.55 Cobra gears with a set of Ford Racing (FRPP) 3.73s. An FRPP Trac-Lok rebuild kit with carbon fiber disks was also installed because... why not? I re-used the axles and tripod joints as they were already the high dollar units from Driveshaft shop.
