The best pedal is the right one in the big car!\r\nWhen I built this car, I wanted it to be a combination of a very fast car and yet one that is comfortable for a drive with my wife. That is why I added radio, seat warmers, slightly quieter pipes, storage cubby , LED lights and light colored marine upholstery so the Texas sun would not fry the backs of your legs. The right side foot pedal helps her brace herself on twisty roads.\r\nAs for the leaves in the footwell.what can I say, I missed them once we parked the car for the photoshots in the local park. They are no longer there. In 5000 miles of great drives, the car has never so much as coughed or left us stranded. Also I should add, my friend that helped with the build modified the rectangular taillights for me. They came with one half as a static fresnel reflector and the other half with a bracket holding a light bulb which worked for both turn signal and brake. I also own a 67 Jag etype with very small brake/turn tail lights and often the car behind me cannot easily see them. I asked my friend to modify the light housing so that there are now two separate lights \r\n for turn and brake making both indicators better. It is nice to have a talented retired Raytheon mechanical engineer friend who had built his own FFR Cobra, with a big workshop.\r\nHe also hand built the cubby on the center console with hinged top, cupholders and slots to hold 2 cellphones.\r\nI should mention, the cars battery is located low just behind the radiator in the engine compartment giving more trunk room.\r\nOur 6 year old grandaughter ( who owns the little one) is no longer into Cobras. If I lowered them at all, the rear tube which receives the diagonal rear leg would not fit. I did not want to relocate that that tube and there wasn't really another brace to which to attach it securely so I left it all alone and decided at 6'1, a few extra inches above my head in the rare event of a turnover was a good thing. I have long legs and sometimes I stretch the left leg forward behind the clutch and brake on long trips (where it is safe traffic of course) and my foot does not reach the end of the footwell. I think it is a matter of how the body is proportioned. If you are a serious bidder, I can take some measurements from the pedals to the seat back and seat cushion up although as a roadster, the height is irrelevant. The drivers seat is all the way back on my car but I have seen some builders that wedge the seat tracks at an angle to pick up space. That would be easy to do. I'll post a few legroom photos of me in the car that might help although that is not always a good measure. It keeps the 14\" driveshaft from spinning around next to your hip if a Ujoint breaks.I would think a UJoint failure (of one of the 2 right next to you) would be more of a chance than a clutch but that is just my opinion.\r\nI also located and photographed the tag that Roush Racing had delivered on the engine with the test ratings they did on this engine and that photo is attached. Torque rating is 394.\r\nI have been unable to locate the charger for the pedal car but I hope to tomorrow. I ordered a replacement 6V charger from the pedal car manufacturer and will send it along to the auction winner once it arrives.\r\nI also plan on doing a few videos tomorrow and posting them as the weather did not cooperate today.\r\nMy wife and I had dinner last evening with the friend that has a similar cobra but powered by a stroked and bored 427 Ford 351.. He has driven my car several times and has observed that the 427 version is a bit faster off the line but the Coyote catches up and passes his car after about 4-5 seconds. He has had carburetor issues for a while has just retrofitted his wit fuel injection for simplicity and dependability.
