My favorite Jag to cruise. The turbine like V12 is awesome. DO NOT be afraid of the injection system. Very simple Bosch D-Jetronic system. Once you know what the devices do, very easy to check they are within specification. A lot of free documentation about the system on the Internet and of course, the very helpful Jaguar forum, Jag Lovers. \r\nThe other item you want to ensure, and it is very simple to adjust, is to make sure the separate bank throttle butterflies are properly set at idle, and that they come off idle with throttle movement at the same time -for very smooth takeaway from standing start.\r\nTreat yourself to a set of GAZ adjustable shocks so you can really dial in the classic independent suspension Jaguar is famous for.\r\nThis machine will cruise long distances effortlessly at 70-80 mph. The V12 is a very under-stressed engine and not uncommon to find one with well over 100,000 miles.\r\nYou will also get a lot of attention at the local car shows.
