This and new Koni\u2019s all around with improved leaf springs in the rear (also from Dale\u2019s Restorations) make the ride much more compliant then from the factory. The car was previously in San Diego and before that in Yuma, AZ so it was stored in dry climates and you can see that there is little to no rust (even surface rust) as evidenced by the pictures I posted). These are high back buckets that fit the car (at suggestion of prior owner). \r\n\r\nI should also note, I had a lot of original documentation that the prior owners had retained with the car - quite a lot in fact. Unfortunately, when I shipped the car from CA to TX, the shipper somehow lost that. I was very bummed. I do have quite a few low res pictures from the 2nd prior owner to me and I still have his contact information. The car was a blue-green (from a '66 Falcon, I was told) under his ownership and he did quite a lot of work (you can see the engine out picture). The reason I repainted was because there were quite a few scratch marks on that paint and I took the plunge to change the color to a modern color that also fit the vintage of the car. I bought the Tiger sight unseen, knowing it needed much work. It had been sitting in a field in Yuma for too long. It was trailered to San Diego and driven into the garage. It was not driven again until I had gone through virtually everything. I did some of the basic bodywork. I replaced 3 of the 4 floorpans. They had rusted from sitting out in the open in Yuma. The new floorpans were welded in place and the interior rust-proofed. .I then removed all chrome and rubber parts and had Tiger hauled to a paint shop operated by one of the local Tiger owners who completed the bodywork and gave the car a dark blue paint job. While the Tiger was at the paint shop, I rebuilt the engine. The engine is the original 260 V8. A previous owner had already installed a roller tappet camshaft and roller tip rocker arms with needle bearing pivots. I am not sure which cam was installed. The rebuild included a complete rework of the cylinder heads with new valves with 3-angle valve grind, dual valve springs, hardened exhaust valve seats, new bronze valve guides, positive valve stem seals and surfaced heads. New rings and bearings were installed. A new Carter AFB carb was installed with the Edelbrock 289 Performer manifold. The idle was good and the engine performed extremely well. Headers came with the Tiger. I had these coated at Olympic Coatings in Escondido. They did not discolored or turn blue like chrome. The ignition was upgraded to a Petronix electronic system. The electrical system was replaced with a Painless Performance wiring harness and fuse panel. Actually now had more than 2 fuses. Front coil springs from Sunbeam Specialties and new rear leaf springs from Dale\u2019s Restorations (to control wheel hop) were installed. \r\nI sold the Tiger in 2005.
