Located about an hour from me.\r\nThe front air dam is off of a 1980 MGB LE, it fits but I personally don't like the look of it.\r\nConsole and arm rest are from a later MGB as well. Nice addition.\r\nThe floor matts are vintage AMCO aftermarket items.\r\nUnder the bonnet the engine is well equipped although missing the emissions gear and the original Girling boosters have been replaced with Lockheed. Seal panel over the radiator is still there and the bonnet seal appears to be the original. They haven't made them like that for a long, long time.\r\nAn overdrive optioned MGC for 1968 should have the 3.307:1 axle ratio which could be the best combination.\r\nDon't know why anyone would think this car was once anything but Tartan Red. The factory \"pink\" primer is still showing on the underside. The factory barely waved the paint gun at the bottom when they were built.\r\nSeems to be still wearing the original Oregon license plates from 1968. If it has spent all this time in the valley here it would be as rust-free as any. I only see a vacuum gauge and a voltmeter added. And the original gauges were electric and rather unreliable anyway. Temp gauge has been changed as the original only read C-N-H. No telling if this one reads accurately as it may not be intended for the 10V system that these cars had.\r\nEngine temp depends on the thermostat installed, which is NOT the same as MGB, but same as TR7 and XJ6, so the temp could be higher.\r\nBiggest problem with cooling the MGC is that it still has the grill intended for the 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine. I have improved the air to the radiator on mine and have to use a 90\u00b0C thermostat to get it to properly warm up in all but the hottest weather.\r\nMGCs do not normally run as high an oil pressure as MGBs. Idle pressure of 25psi is decent and running at 45psi is common.
