It is very hard to tell much from the quality of the photos as they are neither complementary nor revealing of much of the car condition. I believe that despite having a few missing and incorrect parts such as the non-original engine it remains a nice car. According to Fussi's book, this is a 1961 Sprint Veloce. Currently, it has the wrong rear bumper that belongs to a late 3rd series car. It is missing the Trunk lit Air Plane, Side Spears, and the correct headlight rims. The ones currently on the car are for the Spider series cars. The Circa 1900 unpainted Sarugh Persian Rug looks nice and should we worth some change. Obviously, the owner has some inherited high-end taste. Back to the car, Would be nice if the Seller could post better-describing photos of the car as well as a better description of the car itself. As of now, he is underselling a potentially well deserving and wonderful car. Potential buyers, I have a complete period correct engine for this beauty!!!!! GlennK - Regarding tge kack of air filters: the engine in the car was put in when we bought it 4 years ago. It has only been driven 100-odd miles since then. I have been researching a 61 SV that is less than 100 cars later than this SV which was built in the month of June of 1961. From my research I believe that true 101 series Sprints does not have the Airplane which incorporates the small license plate illumination light into it like the 750 series cars. I believe in true 101 Sprints the license plate illumination lights were moved to the bumpers as seen in the photos. I have seen other 61 101 series Sprints and none that I have seen have the Airplane. Maybe the very early 101 series Sprints used airplanes until the inventory was depleted. Some of the 101's I've seen have a large chrome plate mounted on the trunk to accommodate a European style license plate. US dealers may have removed the chrome plate from the trunk to accommodate the different size of the US license plates. Photo's in my Giulietta Sprint book show the large chrome mounting plate and license illumination lights mounted on the bumpers for all 101 series Sprints. I kept it this way because of our original intention to drive it in historic rallies or races. As far as we can tell its been an SF car most of its life.
