I have uploaded 4 new photos in the comments below - RPO sticker from trunk lid, a trunk lid sensor (part of the old Chapman alarm system), and a photo of the 1982 pocket planner book which holds all of the maintenance from 1987 to present. There is an entry from 5/07 which states \"painted.\" I reached out to Chuck and Diane the previous owners shortly after I bought the car in 2012 and they stated that the nose cone was repainted. I always assumed there was some \"sprucing up\" done to the lower textured grey at this time also but I am not enough of an expert to be sure. While I was really impressed with the work ethic of the college student who came out to take the photos for BaT, I don't believe we have enough shots showing the true beauty of this 36 year old black paint. I have owned the car since 1/1/12 with the goal of preserving a piece of Oldsmobile history while also enjoying driving it. I still maintain contact with the original owner, and in fact, she is excited to be following this auction with us. The worst area is the pass rear floor pan (there's a photo of it), but by no means is this car in need of any major resto. Back in 2015, it was not shifting correctly, not downshifting, and research led to the TCC solenoid being bad. I dropped the pan, replaced the TCC solenoid with an OEM replacement, new gasket and fluid, and have never experienced anything like that again.
