I start it up every few weeks to keep it \"limber\" I guess and to shake out cobwebs. I have it stored in my shop as a favor to the owner for about 3 years. I have driven it 3 times for a total of around 25 miles. I do not think there is anything wrong with the engine as it starts right up without any smoke that I have noticed. I opened it up once on the freeway and quickly got to speed limit. Another time I wanted to see the Air Grabber hood work so took it on a local back road. On this trial, the Grabber popped up as I expected and I chirped the tires in first 2 gears easier than I expected. But I have no experience with muscle cars in general until this one. I have gone through the service receipts and find no evidence of a rebuild that I can tell. i think the claim of 20,000 total miles is accurate based on the service records.\r\nTransmission removed and rebuilt in 1978 for $288. Carburetor rebuild service in 1987 and again in 1995. Nothing I see about other engine work. The fellow that bought it in 1997 only put about 3000 mi. The current owner, the widow of that fellow, has not mentioned any engine work that she is able to recall.
