The three modes make it easy and fun to ride by any rider and in any condition, although it has not been driven in the rain under my ownership. I\u2019ll be around all week to answer questions and help with the auction. @Baur2002 the tire date codes are week 36 of 2015 (front) and week 47 of 2015 (rear). They are still in great shape and I have been sure to get it out and ride it every few months in the 3+ years that I\u2019ve owned it. The route I take usually has only put 5-15 miles at a time on it - enough to warm it up and keep the tires from sitting in one place. The Euro 5 emission laws have the later model choked down and even with a few more HP it was not nearly as fun to ride as the 750. This bike is much closer to a Super Moto and very much a bike that you can rip in the mountains and back country roads. No rider aids whatsoever on the \u201809 which allows you to be a hooligan at will.\r\n\r\nIf you\u2019re going to ride this bike like that, get rid of the 8 year old tires, fix the master cylinder and brake fluid leak issue along with adding fresh brake fluid. More power, but similar handling to a DRZ-400SM (and without the crotch-numbing single) and far less finicky than the Ducati Hyper. Cheaper too. Power delivery is silky smooth without surprises. The 900 and 1200 don't balance as well and aren't nearly as nimble. I rode thousands of miles on one of these in the NorCal mountains back in the day. \r\nIf there are negatives it would be:\r\n a) iirc, the forks have common a compression/rebound adjustment and in one side only. There was an after-market set of long forks that were made for these, but they were very expensive. If you ride like a maniac (and you really ought to on this bike...) the forks can fully compress and pogo in interesting ways on goaty corners.\r\n b) the funky setup of the two-up seat and pipes makes saddle bags pretty much impossible.\r\n\r\nThat said, huge fun/dollar. More than enough power that seems to make the bigger engined models redundant. I had the compression/rebound altered on the front forks. Changed out the muffler and added an aftermarket tail tidy to get rid of the stupid number plate bracket. These are serious fun bikes to ride if twisties are your thing. For touring not so much as the gas tank is pretty small and will only get you approximately 70-80 minutes of riding between refills at best. Push hard and maybe it is more like an hour. As noted by others, these are really well built bikes and better bang for your buck than a Hypermotard or the DM400 Suzuki. DD's were under $10k when new and many sat past their model year and could be had with significant discounts. Aprilia, unfortunately, does not do well in the US, due to their limited dealer network, their less than perfect business practices and complete lack of marketing or promotions in the US.
