GM sent an Engineer to his house and they told him his was one of the first few that had this problem and they didn't know when they would have the solution so keep driving it and if it blows up they will give him a new motor... it bothered him so much he didn't drive it for two months until they told him to bring it in for the fix... He isn't a mechanical guy and didn't ask what the problem or solution was which I wanted to know since I'm the son of a mechanic but he had no idea other than the noise went away... So we have to make sure these cars are 6 months old but we also need to worry about this stupid problem so check for it before u buy one and get the old owner to get it fixed before u buy it. I have an old tech Base that has a lifter click that they say they all have due to the stupid cylinder deactivation which shouldn't exist on this car but was carried over from the Camaro SS to improve fuel mileage...
