This Lincoln was owned by my mechanic he died suddenly at age 65 .I purchased it from his widow and finished the work.When I purchased the car it was apart.The mechanic had pulled the 460 v8 and the trans. He sent the engine to the rebuild shop. All work was performed. The pistons ,cam, lifters and all parts needed where replaced. The total bill was around $4500. He also sent the trans to be rebuilt along with a rebuilt converter. I finished the work and drove the vehicle for about 200 miles. The complete brake system was inspected and the calipers, rotors, pads,wheel cylinders and brake shoes where replaced. The rear springs and shocks are new. The gas tank, sender and fuel pump are new as well. The Lincoln was painted around 1995 all the panels are very straight and the paint shines nicely. There are a few touch ups on the hood and one small corrosion spot on the panel behind the rear window. The quality of the paint is high. The car always gets a lot of looks. Whoever wins this car is going to be lucky as thousands of dollars and countless hours where spent on the mechanics of the car. Is the top perfect? No.... but you know as well as I do that it's normal, even for some of the nicest show cars. The engine looks fantastic, the underside looks great, and the body is straight and clean. The interior is in really good, unrestored condition compared to a lot of what's out there. Appreciate what's been built, not what isn't to your particular taste. For a lot of people, their car is their canvas and more importantly, there are more ways to enjoy a Mark III than simply throwing the OEM hubcaps back on and hoping your \"original\" engine makes it to the car show.\r\n\r\nYall & your constant negativity are the reason I buy these cars but don't talk to the community.
