Generally, within 2-3 days, the lien holder will send a lien release letter along with the title directly to your home address. You can then have a new title issued. I bought a 1997 Toyota 4Runner Limited new in the fall of 1996. The car is still my daily driver. I had to rebuild the engine at 220,000 due to a head gasket leak outer than that the car needed nothing except brake pads and fluid changes. The 4Runners last a long time. I am surprised that many of the elements in my car are the same as this car. I guess Toyota is suppose to come out with a new design for 2025. I am sure the buyer will have at least 200,000 miles ride left in the engine.
