I used them in several vehicles with great success. The accompanying instruction booklet had directions for installation in vehicles as far back as the 1940s. I was just a kid hanging on the fence of the Linden, NJ airport when the races were run there in the early 1950s, and it was exciting!\r\nThe Hudson 308ci (only 5 ci more than Olds' 303) was supplemented by Dual Carburetion, and they also have their 7-X \"Racing Engine\", which many members of or Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club have and maintain.\r\nMy own Hudson is not in this category - it is a 1915 SIX-40 7-passenger Phaeton which we actively drive on national tours. It is entirely capable of keeping up with state highway speeds and even features Hudson's super smooth \"Cork Clutch\", but I do not expose it to the Interstates.
