It was originally the dealer owners vehicle. The dealer had installed the Banks Powerpack and TransCommand on it previous to us purchasing it (ie it was not a request on our part). It\u2019s been an Oregon and now an Arizona vehicle it\u2019s entire life, and kept in a garage or 3-sided carport in OR and garage in AZ. Zero body rust and the only corrosion of any kind is surface rust on unpainted chassis and suspension stuff. It is still has the original exhaust system. Truck is in great shape. Interior is in great shape, some wear on Fords Lariat leather surface seating but that\u2019s it. The copy notes I replaced the door ajar switches and the VSM. Hazards of watching \u201cHow To\u201d YouTube videos. One Youtube video I looked at said they went in thru the radio to replace the VSM so that\u2019s what I tried. How hard could it be? No way for me via the radio hole. Just small cracks on the edges of the tool holes. \r\n\u2022\tThe wheel tire combination is a +2 up size of wheel from OEM 16 to 18 inch and corresponding tire profile of 275/65R18. Speedometer is very close with the +2 conversion. 70MPH indicated, 2000RPM is about 71 actual MPH. (https://tiresize.com/comparison/) Date codes on the tires are 1820 for 3 of them and 1920 on the 4th (ie 18th or 19th week of 2020 year). I\u2019ll check my records and find the mileage when installed but less than 10K miles ago.\r\n\u2022\tI\u2019m a bit anal retentive about drips on my garage floors so when I saw drips, the truck took a trip to the dealer. BTW all maintenance has been at Ford dealers, first OR then AZ with the exception of me doing the door ajar switches and VSM recently and I also replaced the glow plug relay last year. I\u2019ve added a picture summary of the non-routine maintenance as I could not figure out how to format it for the comments!\r\n\r\nI use the shell with racks for kayak carrying in the summer, winter usually the tool box and the louvered tailgate. Much easier for the yearly winter run to get wood stove pellets without the shell on. I tell my wife the louvered tailgate is the Mark 1 (one) version of the backup camera, you can turn around and see what you are going to back into! But tool box and alternate louvered tailgate all go with the truck.\r\n\r\nAnswer to the obvious question:\r\nWhy am I selling now? Short long story\u2026.I had thought for years that this truck would be part of my estate sale, hopefully many more years in the future. But then coming back from a recent trip got to thinking (always dangerous). We have a 2016 Ford Expedition we flat tow behind the motorhome. The Expedition has 125K miles on the odo and an additional approx. 60K miles being flat towed. It\u2019s not going to be around forever. I am not thrilled with Fords redesign of the Expedition since 2018 which is more or less carried thru to present, and I extremely dislike the rotary shift knob on the console. So a replacement Expedition is out for now. The F250 while it could be flat towed is way heavier than the Expedition and even bigger. So\u2026..I\u2019ve got a 2025 Ford Ranger on order that can be flat towable in liu of an Expedition/SUV replacement when that time comes. Most of the mileage went on while living in Oregon up and down I5 from Portland area to N. I used 303 on them fairly regularly to keep the rubber flexible. No tears. Not having driven a new truck, I have no way to judge, but wind noise does not seem abnormal and no \"whistling\"\r\n\r\nTo be clear, the rear slider is the window in the shell, it's stiff enough to stay closed but does not latch. In picture 73 you can see the switch and gauge for the air springs below the dash (below the pull-out cup holder) Just helps level the truck out with a load in the bed or high tongue weight on any tag along trailer being pulled. One cool thing about this is there is a shrader valve in the rear bumper left of the license plate (Pic 20 little dot to left of license) that can be used to air up your tires if you aired them down for sand/dirt or just need some compressed air. Intro copy says: \u201cThe window switches and the vehicle security module (VSM) were replaced in December 2024\u201d The window switches (door lock switches on arm rests) were *not* replaced. What was replaced were the door ajar switches in each of the 4 door latches. These get old and gummy over time and miles (lousy Ford design) and the usual \u201cfix\u201d is copious WD-40. Did not work for me so I started replacing door ajar switches. When this did not solve the door ajar idiot light and associated issues (auto door lock stopped working, key fobs quit working to lock, arm rest door lock switches quit working) that led to the VSM replacement which fixed all the issues and no more door ajar idiot light!
