'68 was the first year for the TLS front brake and that first version had a diffferent operating arm - the 69/70 version as on this bike is generally regarded as \"superior\" since it provides better leverage... The left-side hub cover in 1968 was also unique - I guess you could call it a \"fluted\" design, as opposed to the \"concentric circles\" on the 69/70 hub cover plate like this one... Nothing wrong with any of this! This bike is not being presented as a 100% factory original museum piece, and has a number of personal touches that make it unique - the later front brake plate can definitely be considered an \"upgrade\"... \r\n\r\nChanging subjects, no idea why BaT would say \"a fuel-tank rack has been added\"... Actually the \"big\" 4+ gallon 82-7003 gas tank on this bike WITH parcel grid was correct specifically for the TR6R model in 1968 - although rarely seen on this side of the pond...
