Oil was kept fresh and items maintained while driven. Replaced Clutch only has about 5K miles on it. \nIt comes with The Owners Manual. A mechanics manual. And many maintenance parts all shown in the pictures like Radiator hoses, window regulator and assorted Fuses. It also still has the Jack/Spare and the parts needed to change the tire. \nI Restored Classic American Muscle Cars for quite a while and Recognized this vehicle as one of those rare examples that you would want to Buy when looking for a car to bring back to mint condition. Body panels/Frame/Engine/Chrome, smaller items are all in a condition that wouldn\u2019t require replacement or work to do this and reduce costs immensely. Appears to run well, definitely on all 6 cylinders with a surprisingly great idle! The cold start issue could either be weak ignition at start up due to voltage or dirty carbs (gummed up accel pump jets is common). Neither a big deal. Converting to an odd-fire specific MSD box actually helps a ton too. Compression test would be nice though. \n\nAs for the US bumpers to Euro bumpers, the job is able to be done by a handy DIY owner. I should make a video of the job as there's some work to it but not a huge scary undertaking. A company in Vietnam of all places make fabulous reproductions for a reasonable amount. The Euro front turn signals are from an Alfa, so they're readily avail. The most challenging bits are the rear lower valance panel and rear muffler valance panel, both must be fabricated but some club folks are actually having that done now so it's better than it used to be. Once complete this (net savings) shaves about 120lbs off the car. I weighed mine after with half a tank of fuel at exactly 2913lbs on corner scales. This was within 20lbs of what my 76 steel 308GTB weighed (also Euro bumpers). \n\nAs for the engines, the 'real' figure is 198hp (Euro engines), not 208 nor 220 depending on where you look, just as the real figure with 308s is 229hp (Euro engines), not the 240 or 255 advertised. These odd-fire 90 degree v6 engines have a secondary imbalance, just as all 4 cylinder engines inherently have. The problem at the time was the strength of 60s-70s components holding up to the task, but this is a non issue now with modern forged rods/pistons. All F1 engines are indeed 90 degree odd fire V6 now. The 3.3L stroked variants of these engines I build now make a real 270-280hp and rev out to 7500 very well, no issues. \n\n\nGet one while you can, rare finding one stateside in good shape. No ladder frame construction as all Ferrari's still had, Meraks have all unibody sans the cradle that holds the engine, handling is fabulous. Crank has six counterweights instead of three; oiling system in the block is completely different, intake vales are 47mm instead of 42mm; Exhaust valves are 43mm instead of 36mm. They made thousands of the SM version maybe a few 100 of the SS.
