I was stationed in Turkey in the USAF and my wife sent a letter asking that we consider buying one. I contacted the Donald Healey Motor Co and asked if we could transact via mail. Yes----so we ordered it from them. It was shipped to Norfolk Va on 20 June 66. I watched as they hoisted her from the bottom of the ship and took control as quick as possible. We loaded her up--wife and dog and headed to Texas. While there we took many trips with her--back to Va--out to Denver to ski---which brings up a scary tale. Going over Vail Pass on evening we hit an ice spot and I lost control. We skidded into a snow pile--preventing us from going over the side!! No damage. We kept her till 1971 when I was transferred to Holland. We had a new baby then and needed a bigger car so we sold her. We have missed her every since and have searched a long time trying to find her. I traced her to St Louis and that is as far as I got. Seeing her now gives me so much happiness that she is still around. I have the original correspondence from the Don Healey Motor co and will gladly share with the new owner.
