The car started and ran well for the entire trip loaded with tools and equipment. I have checked all the lights, doors, windows, blower, heater, AC, radio, wipers, windshield washer, emergency flashers and fluids and they are all functional and operating as designed. When changing the oil I checked for any observable leaks and did not find any, nor have any leak witness marks shown up on my garage floor in the last 4 months. The first one (2003) had the manual and was flawless until a suspension component gave out at 275k. I wish I had kept the engine and transmission. The second Element (2005) was acquired with 260k and a bad transmission whether from abuse or something else, I don't know but we also replaced it with a rebuilt transmission and 10k later it's got a loud whine in a bearing that's getting worse.
