(I don't believe there is any)\r\n\r\n3. The lower mounts of the shocks were rusted to posts and were cut and repaired. (this is when car had 26k miles and it was done in 1998)\r\n\r\n4. The tie-rod ends were painted yellow in 1998 when the miles were at 26k (it was done during the same job)\r\n\r\n5. Not aware of any other rust repairing or any other rust on the car.\r\n\r\n6. The top was placed down and up in the photos. It is not a powered top. It is an original cabriolet, but I'm not sure what confirmation you would be looking for. More than one had a problem which none of us were able to figure out! Namely, at normal engine temperature, at approximately 2,000 to 3,000 rpm there was a loud pop coming from the intake manifold. We adjusted the valves (.003\" IN .008\" EX), adjusted ignition timing, new plugs and points, new air and fuel filters, ensured that at rest the throttle flap was juuuuuussst contacting the housing, verified that at relaxed throttle position (idle position), the ball & sockets on the throttle linkage and the fuel injection linkage were in alignment. Nothing helped! If anyone can shed some light on this I would love to know what the problem was.
