I have probably owned and driven somewhere around 15 Jaguars. From XJ 6 ( series 1-2-3) XKE series 3 , several XJS. \r\nThe last manufactured XJS' from 95 and 96 are the best cars Jaguar ever build in this sport Touring version. Most previous XJS all came to the USA with the well known V-12.\r\nWell, after having owned 4 Jags with V12 engines, I can categorically tell you that the straight 6 is a FAR, FAR better engine!\r\nThis latest straight 6 has only some 25 hp less than the over hyped V12. The performance difference is not noticeble under normal driving conditions. Maybe on a race track the V 12 can squeeze out a split second faster. The straight 6 is a bullet proof engine and is easily good for 200k miles. Provided the engine is warmed up gently (try to stay around 1500 RPM when cold) Once on operating temp the sky is the limit.\r\nSo, having said all this, the XJS that is offered here has the best potential.
