My son has a 2010 gated V10, silver with carbon blades. IMHO this gen of R8 with this drivetrain is absolutely stunning & a blast to drive. I'm 6'4\", 200lbs, and I drove the car 6 hours in one day once and I couldn't believe how comfortable I was, when you get in, everything is just in the right place. The snickety snick gated 6 speed is a piece of art. We updated the infotainment with a \"couldn't be easier DIY\" swap which gave him carplay and a factory looking carbon trimmed unit. I could daily this car. His magneride did start leaking, as they do. He swapped in coil overs and set the height, and the car rides amazingly well, it's even better than stock. My point to people on that is, enjoy the magenride til it goes, then don't worry because, although not cheap, it's not expensive either, to do an awesome coil over setup. These are very special and rare cars, every day capable, and head tuners at every event. He also did a FabSpeed catback & the car sounds like the lambo drivetrain it is when he lays into it. These things are just soooo much car for the money. Sorry to blather on, but as someone with vipers, McLarens, Lambo, Bentley, stangs, and more .. I drool over & just love this gen R8 with this drivetrain. I believe he did the buy via AliExpress, but he's at work & I can't quite remember. He just hit me up to help install since I've done a lot of mods to a lot of my cars thru the years. Install was beyond easy. Need to get the \"keys\" off of amazon to remove the factory stereo, which was a few bucks. Only nit we had to solve was the unit brief instructions are specific to the auto. For the manual, it wouldn't recognize reverse to activate the camera. Easy fix, looked up the wiring diagram, located the reverse sensing wire in the harness and used a simple wire tap, took just a few extra minutes, and all worked great.
