Typically you see some minor cracking along the side edges of the hood spear, along with some minor debris peppering on the lower sections of the nose. I blew up the photo on the inside of the latch side of the drivers door and it almost appears to be two slightly different shades of white. The outer area is brighter with the inside section around the latch seams a bit more aged. This would indicate a possible respray. Not saying you are not correct, could be lighting issues on the side of the door but that is very bright white with no minor crazing, scratches seen. I own two survivors, a 1969 427,4 speed, 2 top convertible with A/C, Daytona Yellow with just over 30,000 miles and the original lacquer , though very nice, shows some minor aging with some very minor scratches and chips. The one crack in the paint around the passengers side of the windshield has more of a look of a thicker coat of paint (possible another layer, issue than one of original paint. Original paint tends to crack a bit differently. I used to judge Survivor class cars. Again, I have not seen the car in person so these are just rudimentary observations but when you talk about original paint on corvettes, you need to be sure\nVery beautiful example with some very nice untouched areas to it. I've been in the Corvette hobby for nearly 50 years and owned several Corvettes, including an ORIGINAL engine 427-400 hp convertible I got in 1976. Loaded Goodwood Green example with black leather, 4 speed, J50, N40, U69, full tint, CO8, speedminder, telescopic wheel and born with N14. We found it in a junkyard in Orange County, NY. I paid $1,800. Amazingly, the original POP was in the glove box. I wrote a good old fashioned letter to the name on the POP in Poughkeepsie, NY. No Google in those days. He answered my letter. I towed it home and after hours of carefully pre-lubing the engine it started. The car had been in a rear end collision. I now am working with a client with a Marina Blue 67 coupe with 400 hp, C60 and M35. The car also has U69, power windows, N40, J50, telescopic wheel, speedminder, full tint and Bright Blue leather seats. However, the car was originally Ermine White. The current owner, in his late 70s, bought the car in about 1998, with zero documentation. Someone added N14, upon my inspection of this vehicle. And unlike this beautiful example here, the original engine is long gone. I looked this car over underneath while on a lift and found no evidence of any body repair ever, no missing bonding strips no replaced panels no non factory fiberglass anywhere, except for the rear valence. There is a small chunk of fiberglass missing by the joint of the lower parking light panel and gill panel where it all bonds to the upper surround on the driver side. That missing chunk is visible in picture 21. I also found no evidence of accident damage, rust or rust repair on the frame or birdcage while doing the inspection. I replaced the brake calipers and master cylinder with early design dated 1967 components that were rebuilt by Lonestar - they are stainless steel sleeved with o-ring pistons and again early design 67 calipers as the vehicle should have. We also replaced the brake hoses, brake pads, two rear steel brake lines, replaced the rear strut rod bushings and aligned the rear suspension. We replaced all the bulbs in the instrument cluster and repaired the speedometer head, with that said I do feel the odometer on this vehicle is very close to accurate, the vehicle still has the original upper ball joints. The front driver side wheel bearing was replaced and we serviced all the fluids in the car except the transmission, we replaced the steering rag joint and tuned the engine, we also repaired the turn signal cancel cam. The transmission had been serviced prior to us receiving the vehicle. It is a very solid original vehicle that needed very little work.
