This awesome 3000GT VR4 is every bit as nice in person as it appears in the pictures and videos. It was lovingly maintained by my late husband. I haven't driven it personally in about 25 years, but my husband's friend Roy drove it to take the pictures and videos on the site. He told me that he loved driving it, and he can vouch for how well it drives and that everything works like it should. \r\nAll the videos were taken in the last 2 weeks and show the car running from a cold start as well as being driven through the gears. The car was just serviced a few months ago. I was told that the engine runs great with no issues.\r\n\r\nThe rest of the car is in equally great condition. The top works/cranks properly, all the leather is in excellent condition (except for the stick shift which needs the leather replaced (not expensive, but I could only find black leather and I didn't know whether the buyer would prefer to find the matching color so I didn't replace it), the power antenna motors up and down (it was replaced several years ago with an original equipment antennae, the service records show how much money -$$$- we had to pay for that, but my husband insisted it be done properly), and all the other features are working. My husband loved the car and he kept is well-maintained. The car was always garaged and was never in an accident, but the door did get a few nicks from people opening their car door in parking lots, and my husband immediately had them touched up. The paint meter video will verify this. \r\n\r\nI will be available all week to answer questions as best as I can, although I\u2019m sure there are many experts on BaT who know how these cars work much better than I ever will. These cars are 30+ years old and even the low-mile examples have some deterioration of the engine seals. If the oil is not dripping (as stated by the seller), then there should be no problem with passing a safety inspection. My car had more seepage than this when I bought it, so I added a sealing agent to the engine oil for a short period. That swelled the seals and solved the problem.\r\nOf greater concern for buyers should be the condition of the timing belt. Yes, this car has only 17K on it, but belts can deteriorate over time regardless of use. If a timing belt kit has not been installed, the buyer should factor that into their total cost of ownership. Now for the fun part....these cars are an absolute blast to drive. I was recently on a rally with new-era Porsche and Italian super-cars. Someone took care of this car. My guess it will hammer around $35-45k. What it *should* be worth (in my opinion) in this condition? $80k. in 5yrs from now, we will all be remiss that we didn't buy these for 50 cents on the dollar when we had the chance.
