Maybe that option was not considered? In this case, replacements for top, leaks, lights, trim, clutch cylinders etc smells like a car thats lived its entire life as an outside car. UV can be pretty tough in Georgia summer. Otherwise, short of a major accident i don't see any other way to splain all this. $7k pre inflation is an insane cleanup with no accident. My brother was the first owner of the S2000. This was a dream car to him. He was so proud of it. It was kept in garage while he owned the car. The car was given to my sister just before he passed. She lived in a condo without covered parking for a while before she bought a town home with a two car garage. So yes, it stayed out for a while. One thing about my sister, if someone told her she should do something to the car, she ended up taking care of that concern. It was fully painted and parts were replaced when it was painted. The top was replaced because it was mentioned to her that they needed to be replaced after so many years. So she did. It was not because she experience any leaking. She was trying to be proactive with the top. Just before my sister passed the S2000 was given to my other sister. We have decided to find someone who truly wants the S2000 and will take care of the car.
