I never made the 4th gear to 5th redline switch. I've driven the red/black interiors for a long time and then stumbled upon a low mileage tan interior before covid and bought it. I actively dislike the tan (and my plan was an interior swap), but there's no way to get an 02-03 without it unless you want the porno set red interior.\r\n\r\nAround 5-10 years ago you could still manage to find a red interior in excellent condition, but those days are gone. I'd rather have the AP1.2 updates than the interior. Ironically I had a pair of mint tan seats that I sold years that ended up in an FJ40. If you like the tan you scored a big win in my book. An extra $500-1k vs. regretting losing the auction is an easy choice. By losing I can hold onto the idea of swapping my interior is how I see it. Harder thought to swallow the more rare the car is!
