And I don't think I have ever seen straighter pinch welds in 40 years of Supra ownership. My '85 that spent its entire life with an OCD owner in the desert environment of Arizona and Nevada isn't this clean.\r\nThe only issue is the math problem that comes in when you say the 51k Celica donated the trans and instrument cluster, but it shows 9k, but I don't doubt this is car is closer to 9k original miles than 51k. The second owner purchased the car without telling his wife, which did not go over well, and the tipping point to sell it occurred when they learned that they were expecting a child. That owner advised me that the first/original Nebraska owner was a collector who had the car docked in a conditioned environment. I don\u2019t have prior owner records going back prior to my ownership. When I purchased the car it was clear that this was essentially a new car that sat in a protected bubble. There is no corrosion, no wear, and all the paint is original. Exhaust is original and looks new. I have not ever driven it in rain. When you open the car door today, it smells like a new 1985 Toyota did in the showroom. I don\u2019t have additional undercarriage photos other than the photos I took a couple of weeks ago to put on BaT, but could attempt more photos with some lighting if the BaT community would like to see more. The undercarriage looks new in all aspects\u2014there is no wear/tear/weathering. The power was adequate and the suspension/brakes were excellent. The perfect package for the 'boy racer' in all of us.\r\n\r\nIMHO, the late model gen two Supra knocked it out of the ballpark in styling. Wedgie sharp lines and those cool rear wings looked amazing. The interior design was awesome as well. The icing on the cake was those amazing sport seats from the factory! And we're all familiar with Toyota's legendary build quality.\r\n\r\nI may have to bid on this just for the nostalgia. It did not have the power of the Porsche, but still had plenty of power. As the years rolled by and I had to take the Porsche in for service and repairs, I realized that I almost never got out of the service department for less than $1000.00 and many times much more.
