They are great fun- the experience is elemental and closer to motorcycling, esp since the motor is a downsized Honda 450; and at the risk of repeating my post from the last Vamos to sell in 2022, a couple notes: There were only around 2,500 made, however they were based on the same architecture of the TN360 pickup (like a Moke to a Mini). So mechanical parts are difficult, but not impossible to find. Vamos-only parts (exterior, interior- such as it is) are much more difficult. Took me several years to find a correct front seat, and a rusted out one at that. \r\nTires are 10\" and match the early Minis, so not hard to get. I was able to get knobby re-runs of old Dunlop 44 molds out of the UK, because Mini enthusiasts use them off-road.\r\nI'm 5'7\" and find it a little challenging to get in and out, at the largest seat setting. Once in, it's reasonably comfortable and realistically, you're not going cross-country. My 6' friend fits just fine in the co-pilot seat. Interestingly, the passenger does all the steering. (jk)\r\nThe front seat is \"semi-adjustable\"- there are three rows of mounting nuts so you can bolt the seat in at close, too close and 8 year old. It wouldn't be difficult to fab up some brackets to set the seat further back.\r\nRigid (rear) axle is a little misleading- it has an elegant little DeDion setup with a solid dead axle on semi-elliptical springs. Power is transmitted through transaxle half-shafts, each with twin u-joints. Very low unsprung weight.\r\nI would love to connect with any other owners, just reach out to me at NarberthApartments. I have a parts book, factory shop manual and some resources for parts.\r\nIt tops out at 80, 85 max KILOMETERS per hour. But very light and nimble. I went up an old logging road this weekend with no drama. Came back with the bed filled full up with pinecones (don't ask). As regards size- it is a Kei car which all pretty much go right to the limits of Kei, so it is the same footprint as all the small pickups that come up on BaT every week. Headlight rings and other bezels should be chrome, not silver paint, (not 100% certain, but I believe) mirrors should be chrome and wheels should be black.\nSpare wheel cover should be midnight green. Missing Vamos emblems both sides (available ex-Japan!) and Honda emblems front and rear (note three holes on spare cover); also, payload sticker on tailgate missing. Seat should have headrest on driver side. Hood/roof is incorrect in design/color/material/window size. These were available in both 2-seat and 4-seat. Based on the roof frame, this would have been a 4-seat model originally, so rear seat missing. Plastic carb cover missing. Missing rubber grips on front safety bars (same as ones shown on rear). Sun visors missing. Rear view mirror not correct/original. Looks like issues with switch gear, but no clear photos to say for sure.
