There is a difference in the doors vs the front fenders and the rear of the car. I got the car back from the guy who did all the work in January 2020 and it was in my garage most of the time. To be honest I never noticed the difference looking at it or when I would take it out and no one ever commented. I took it to get it checked out and photographed by one of the BaT associated shops around here in Pennsylvania. When I saw the pictures I thought there was something wrong but went and looked at the car and there is a difference. In person it is not nearly as obvious as the pictures but it is real. I called the guy who did the work (he had the car for about 6 years) and he said he painted the doors at a very different time from the rest of the car once he had finished the repair work on the sheet metal. He said that they must have faded differently. He swears it was all done with the same paint, original Cadillac paint code. I asked him what could be done and he said he'd have to respray the doors. I can't pretend to be an expert so.... I left the pictures that show the difference very obviously near the front of the ad to be transparent. It looks great in person, metal work perfect but the doors are different. Happy to have anyone who wants to check it out in person come by. Front fenders and rear look the same in person. Difference is much less obvious in person. I can take a couple pictures myself if that would be useful or, of course, feel free to see it in person if interested and close enough for that to be feasible.\r\nHubcaps - I believe they are from 63/64 or so. They are the ones that came with car. the 61's were painted body color in between bright ribs that radiated out from the center. I have two 61's in decent shape but haven't had a ton of luck sourcing two more - not that I tried very hard. Kind of like the ones on it better. The two I have have white paint and would need work to look good.\r\nFlywheel cover - 24 years and I never knew it was missing until I had the car gone over in anticipation of sale. I told the guys to fix anything necessary / safety and they got a new speedometer cable, adjusted the carb, attached a couple lines that were loose, etc. Just listed the cover as something to do at a later date. New torque converter cover $30 online but I don't have a lift to install it so I let it go for now.\r\nVin- When I bought the car it was registered in Virginia. At the time I bought it I was told it had a replacement engine from a 63 Cadillac convertible. Engine number begins with 63F so that checks out. The three places a VIN can be on these things is the engine block, a white plastic tag on driver door jam (used to keep track of oil changes or something I believe - was long gone on my car when I got it) and sometimes on the frame driver side near the radiator. At least, that's what I learned online. Registered the car in my name in Virginia without issue when I bought it, registered it in PA 15+ years ago with no problem. All with the VIN that begins 61F which would have been the engine block number originally. Never gave it much thought until I went to list it on BaT and they needed a picture of the VIN number. I searched for the one on the frame, did everything but pull the radiator, and there is nothing there I can find. So I spent months going through the State of PA process to get a VIN tag issued. Police inspections, signatures, the whole bit. He said the car was too long for his paint booth so he did the fenders off the car (you can see them in one of the pictures), did the doors off the car, did the rear. Fenders, doors, rest of body were done a couple years apart - he works for one of the high end places near Philly and does side jobs himself so he just works on things when he has time. Can't get any more of an explanation from him than than that but the car is available to see in person for anyone who wants to evaluate themselves. \r\nI'll post a cold start video from today and a walk around video from today.
