This has been my go-to truck for the last 6 years since I purchased it from a known enthusiast and founding owner of Coastline Defender in Los Angeles. It was his daily driver in the UK that he rebuilt, not as a full frame off restoration, but that he brought to the states and which I purchased a couple of years afterwards. I drove this truck daily to and from my office in the financial district in Downtown LA. I never had any issues and have tried to maintain it as best as possible. From stop and go traffic to hitting 70+ MPH without any problems. And although it is not a pristine \u2018garage queen\u2019 nor perfect, it has never failed me and such a fun rig to drive. This setup has been known to be bulletproof and until proven otherwise, I totally agree. I changed the water pump, thermostat, fan belt, and hoses within the last 2000 miles or so. The temp and fuel gauge work sporadically so I changed these mostly for a piece of mind. I eventually planned to swap for digital gauges and was planning to secure the connections at that point. But to answer your question, the drivetrain is solid in my opinion.
