His told me when they do nut-and-bolt restorations, they never leave the six bangers in them. They convert to 5-lug wheels and put 289's in them. My first car was a 1966 Mustang Convert 200 6 with an automatic. I wanted a V8 so bad, but I also had a ton of fun in that car as a teenager. Funny story. As a young adult, I was broke and needed some transportation. I bought a 2dr 69 Falcon with a 200 6 that made a noise just like this car. The guy told me it was nothing to worry about, and for some odd reason I believed him. So I bought it for $500. My wife was following me home on the interstate and, for some reason, decided to pass me. Almost at the exact moment she passed the motor grenaded. This was early 80's before cell phones. I had a long walk home, and I wasn't too happy with her. But I was probably more mad at myself. Not suggesting this engine is going to blow.
