I'm originally from Japan and came to US with this WRX almost 1 year ago.\r\nPrevious owner, who managed tuning shop in Japan carried out most of the modification, but he didn't drive much and had to sell it. Under my ownership, I have not had issues but have performed maintenance items such as new fuel hose in engine bay, Brake caliper overhaul, new radiator and new hoses for steering and transmission oil cooler in addition to updated coilovers, new wheels and fresh tires. The car passed every 2year (Mandatory / Strict) inspection in Japan March/2023. It means no oil leaking, every suspension parts, engine, transmission are genuine or certified by government at that time.\r\n\r\n After coming to US, I've joined some car events but have never driven the car in winter or had salt exposure. For prevention, I performed Noxudol chassis coating in anticipation of my move to Michigan. \r\n Now I've found out from car events US has many JDM & SUBARU fans, so I hope someone who loves these car would enjoy it. \r\n Every application for importing and registration was carried out by myself. So I can answer the detail for application and registration about this WRX. \r\n About suspension noise, I guess it is because of coilovers. Since it is strut type suspension, there is always rotational input to springs and dampers when you steer. As coil spring is not constrained, coil will move little bit and there is noise by friction between uppersupport and coil.\r\n Let me know what questions you have.
