They're not overly powerful, but they're not under powered. The five speed is a great experience with the 2.1.\r\n\r\nAs @suomiauto mentioned, they're very easy to work on. Mine had 260,000 miles on it when I sold it, and I typically only worked on it because I wanted to tinker, not because something went wrong. I did a valve cover gasket because of a small leak, and it took minutes. \r\n\r\nSaab groups on facebook and forums are also a helpful and friendly place. A lot of smart people willing to help, without talking down about new Saab owner questions.
