The original owner purchased this car new as a retirement gift for himself and it has always been in California. As you can see from the CarFax report, he drove it sparingly and had it served regularly. It has always been kept in his garage or his aircraft hangar. The owner lost his house in the 2020 fires along with his copies of maintenance records but most of those do show up in the CarFax. Luckily his Lotus was safe in his hangar. That was when he stopped driving it. I hope to get the car on a lift this weekend to get some undercarriage photos, as it sits too low for me to get underneath it. It does appear as clean as the back valances are. As can be seen in the marque photograph, there is a small scrape on the front left lower air dam. \r\nAs of today, the car only has 6,545 miles. I have put about 50 miles on it taking it to get smogged and to DMV. It runs, shifts and drives without any problems and it handles like a dream. I would love to drive it more or take it to a track but am tasked with selling it, not driving it and enjoying it.\r\nI see questions have been raised about the bypass oil filtration system. That is the only aftermarket change that I am aware of. The owner was an engineer and enjoyed airplanes and cars and felt that the extra filtration (down to 2 microns) would be a benefit to the long-term health of the engine. Because the oil drains down, the filters are easy to change without creating a mess.
