This way if you\u2019re out of sight of the Mini, you know if it started or not. As for it working on a 6spMT, it\u2019s is a bit of a process but easy once learned. Essentially, the remote start needs to know if it is in neutral. To do this, when you park you leave the Mini running in neutral, set the parking brake, then remove the key from the ignition. The Mini will stay running and the remote will confirm with a few beeps. Open the door and get out, ensuring you do not touch the brake pedal. Once out, close the door. After a few seconds, the Mini will turn off. You then lock the doors with the remote and you are all set. If you bump the brake pedal while getting out, or if the doors open after it is primed for remote starting, it will disable the remote starter and you\u2019ll have to repeat the process.
