I think because the larger rims take up more space in the wheel wells, it gives off the illusion of having been lowered just a bit when compared to stock rims. Most 19 inch rims will actually result in tire contact under extreme steering such as performing a 3 point turn. Hartge manufactures wheels for BMW's and they recommend rolling out of the inner wheel wells to fit their staggered configuration for the M Coupe. That is in addition to being fitted with ultra low profile tires. I think think this may be why we don't see many M coupes riding on 19 inch rims. As you said, it fills up the wheel wells a bit more. Honestly it looks good and appear to not be rubbing in any significant way so I would say the arrangement fits. The fenders don't even appear to have been rolled yet so that's another sign it's clearing fine.\r\n\r\n@bdunn02 Those photos answered my question sufficiently, although I would add that the best thing to do when selling a car here on BaT is to get it on a lift and photograph it.
