This was his neighbor's car. We will refer to him as Mr. G. Mr G. is in his mid 80s and had slowly stopped driving this 5 series over the last decade or so. It was incredibly impressive to see him drive up to our store in this manual transmission variant and exit the vehicle cane and all. We learned his story and how he came to be the owner of this time capsule of a machine. Mr. G. was a chemist and avid flyer. He owned a few planes over his time and enjoyed flying, but what he enjoyed most was owning this BMW since new. \n\nThis BMW was ordered locally at Devon Hill Motors which is now BMW of Devon, PA. Mr. G. opted the car with some very tasteful and choice specs and also for the European delivery. Our favorite option hands down is the sunroof delete! next, the manual transmission. \n\nHe and his wife spent 4 weeks in Europe enjoying the full experience with their new BMW traveling all over until having the car shipped to the United States. A lot of the miles accumulated on the car were early on in life. Some of which were from trips to the FL keys for vacation. Mr. G. enjoyed putting miles on this car but as life would have it his age was impairing his ability to drive Manual some time in the mid 2010s. \n\nThe car was situated in a 4 car climate controlled garage that was built on to his house to be the home for this car and his three other vehicles. The car was on a battery tender always, kept clean, and regularly exercised given the chance.\n\nHe was an impressive caretaker of this car and truly loved it. The condition of this car is not \u201cperfect\u201d, but is nothing short of what a \u201cnear perfect\u201d example can be.
