Everything you need and nothing you don't for high speed trans-Europe travel.\n\nWhen I moved from Pittsburgh to Denver in 1979 among the huge stash of parts I didn't need were two Borrani wire wheels that I picked up somewhere for nothing. Rather wide for the time, 15 X 6 or 15 X 7, they were very deeply inset with little of the rim towards the outside of the wheel. Beautifully made with aluminum rims, someone told me that due to the deep inset they were likely for a Maserati. I never found anyone that could use them and gave them to a friend before I moved. He agreed to pass them on to anyone who might need them. I imagine you wouldn't find a free pair of Borranis today! I had the top of the engine done by Richard Crump in England before I shipped it home. I really need to see if I can find the serial number of my car.....could easily be the same car. It had sat in a dealers showroom for many years in Italy (he wouldn't sell it) before I bought it. It was a very reliable fun car. I sold it to a contractor in Utah and used the money to buy a couple of semis when I was starting my truck company. It was nearly impossible to park the car without gathering a crowd whether in Europe or Utah. Few people knew what it was, silly 280Z's would pull up next to me on the highway and want to race.......they were really silly....got a few tickets with it. One on I80 in Nevada for excess of 150, one in Montana on I15 going to Spokane. The highway patrolman was a good guy. He looked the car over and decided I was not being unsafe, had me at 95 in a 55.......wrote ticket but it was an \" energy conservation\" ticket.......I asked what it would cost, \"25.00, you can pay me\" he gave me a receipt and I was off.........no.points or record. Later in the day on I90 a Z car wanted to race, he went into the ditch trying to follow me into a hard highway curve at 100MPH. The over 150 MPH ticket, I gave him my European drivers licence.......never heard a word about it......they are probably still looking for me 35 years later. That would be a hobby finding a Dallas based manufacturer's unit (they were all made there it seemed) and install. Some MG and Jag guys have found the under dash units and vents and installed modern parts forward underhood, a good way to go I'd think. A friend has a SII E-Type late model with power steering and let someone talk him into removing the AC because it was an OTS (convert or roadster we used to call them) as they call them now.
