Replacing the floor pans is a total PITA and mine involves more work than this one will but it's not that difficult a job. This has the potential to be a top dollar car for the next owner if they are willing to do the floor pans. Unfortunately when painted they seem to have glued in the floor mats and presumably the carpet as well so all that will have to come out.\n\nThis one has much better panel gaps than mine has. If so, condition?\n- Was the color changed at the time of repaint? The engine bay is black with ivory showing through in a couple of spots. Originally it would have been the exterior color. I'm not hung up on original colors on cars, but some may want to know.\n- The door cards are incorrect, but very easily made right.\n- The vinyl in the center sections of the seats looks different than original; were the seats recovered? Again, easily made right and, for a driver, no big deal.\n- As others have noted, the floor repair is questionable at best. Some would argue the first year, 66 is the one to get with the Weber carbs. What concerns me with this one is who the heck repairs floors with fiberglass? That's amateur at best. The real problem is these lovely little things rust in heated garages due to the awful Russian steel they were made from. If the floors are gone, I'd be very careful of the rockers, it is after all the main structure of the cars and the parts aren't cheap, say around $900 a side, plus the floors, and expensive to fix properly. Alfa's are strong because everything is welded, including the fenders, so in order to check and repair the rockers, you normally have to cut off the doglegs of the front and rear fenders to check out the integrity of the A&B pillars. Nothing handles like an Alfa, and the quality of the build is fantastic, but nothing is cheap to repair on these wonderful machines. I'd have someone check it for rust. Later a friend ended up buying the car, and he discovered this car was a one of a kind specifically built for a famous sports car racer of the highest renoun. Some German dude named Bovensiepen was personally involved in the build. The car ended up winning a prize at Pebble this past year. The value of this car today is probably 4x what it cost, including the complete nut me bolt Resto. So, by all means buyer beware, inspect with a film thickness gauge and boroscope, and alwaysget a PPIfroma model specific expert.. But remember that there are diamonds in the rough out there.
