An aftermarket exhaust solves all the exhaust note issues and then some. The 22\" OEM rims and short sidewall tires make for a very rough ride with noticeable bump steer so I went to 20\" OEM style with the Yokahamas and ride improved dramatically. The tire wear is an issue of age as in at my age I no longer get a kick out of smoking tires and have had no wear issues. Towing just about anything (in my case vintage cars and motorcycles) is a breeze. All pickups are nose heavy, so we need to get her pointed straight before hitting the gas, and watch the tire tread depth to avoid hydroplaning. The V-10 sounds like a UPS truck, lacking the v-8s harmonics, but the torque is beyond plentiful for stoplight performances. Anything that weighs in excess of 5,000 lbs and is shaped like a brick will be slower in comparison to hi po coupes or sedans, but this truck is quick by any standard of measurement and will blow the doors off any other pickup truck other than the Cummins diesel rigs. When I sold my last one, I hoped Dodge would reintroduce the SRT-10, but alas that appears not to be the case. \nWith only about 1500 unit built per year, these are or will be collectibles, if 10-12 mpg is not an issue.
