And that looks like a plain old Dunlop Roadspeed tire in the boot, like these came with originally and not one of Dunlop's racing versions. Washington state climate varies from temperate rainforest (160 inches precipitation) to desert (6 inches precipitation). While they don't use salt on the roads, in the wettest locales a car can literally dissolve in place while sitting under a waterproof tarp, owing to the humidity and dew (as did my sister's '65 Porsche 912 in Port Orchard, WA.) Spokane is reasonably dry, but they do get a fair amount of rain and snow in the winter. OTOH Vancouver is in the Portland metro area, and gets 3-4 times more precipitation than Spokane.
