I sold this Isetta many years ago to one of my customers as a buyer builder restoration complete car because he want to do his own restoration rather than have me do the restoration. He did use my painter who has done more than 20 Isetta paint jobs for me so he really knows what he is doing when it comes to painting the Isetta bodies. He had the car painted two stage process paint with two tone Blue and Light Gray and also had the painter do the black under coat and the lower interior under coated also (the paint looks really nice). He also had all the chrome replated using my chrome guy. The interior is one of Dave Raab interior kits. After getting about 90% complete he brought the car to me to finish it off. After a conversation about his future plans with the car we struck a deal for me to purchase the car from him and finish it for myself. Being that some things were not up to my standards I pulled the body back off and went thru the whole restoration again to make sure everything was up to my standards. I tore the engine, transmission and chain drive apart and rebuilt them to my level of quality (also note I used a steel connecting rod with the proper matching crank)(see pictures). Because I own a powder coat shop and know that powder coat is much more durable than paint I sand blasted and powder coated everything the underside black. I made sure all the parts on the underside were new (or remanufactured in some cases). I then reassembled the rolling chassis and got it back running. I then reinstalled the body and started making sure everything was at top level of quality including putting a new wire harness. It is a California car and did have Cal Black Plates and I plan to keep them but I will include them ONLY if the buyer is a Ca resident. The North Carolina plate you see in the on pictures is wall art I bought on Ebay and not included but if the buy is a resident of N.C. I will include them in the sale.
