It's a beautiful old Ford, great two tone paint and the interior is really a sight to behold, I've never seen this cool of a stock interior in a '57, '58 or '59 Ford before. The 1957 Ford was a great looking car, a clean design that the styling department should be extremely proud of. My opinion, the 1958 was just not a pretty car, although pretty much the same as '57, go figure. I have to agree with both Steve S and jaxter, the '57 and '58 models look better as hardtops, only the '59 restyle of the rear quarters allows the car to look trim and ties the squarish roof into the '58 T-Bird styling. I also came across the Cord 810/812 and Cord Corporation which sidetracked me to the Auburn 851/852 Speedster and the Duesenberg J.\n\nI then found a French automaker who used to make bodies for the 1952 french Ford Comete(?) (as well as kitchen sinks and jet engine parts... don't ask). Anyway they were called Facel and made Chrysler 'Hemi - Powered' Facel Vega FVS and HK500'S. They were only in business for a few years however. \n\nBack to the Studebaker Avanti, you had mentioned that Studebaker had a plant in Hamilton, Ontario. I told him I was going to sell it. He asked what I was going to ask for it and I told him I had about $35,000 in it and he said I should be able to get that. I originally put the reserve @ $34,900 and near the end of the auction lowered it to $29,900 which would have been a fair price. The high bid on the previous auction was $25,000 which would have been a steal. I'd also check your computer time and make sure it is being synced correctly.\r\n\r\nThere is NO sniping here. It's impossible.
