He too has done away with the shock towers and fitted an independent ,after market front suspension and a four link 9 inch rear end with coil overs and decent size disc brakes all around. Well he was at a bit of a turning point about deciding about an engine. His friend said he had a 460 with a C6 but he was not happy about a big block. He decided on a 347 stroked small bock and that is when he asked me about what i thought. I went to see his car, i was stunned when i first set eyes on it. All of the bodywork was done and the suspension was in front and rear. the car did not have primer or paint and was just shiny metal but i was taken back firstly by the sheer size of the car and then secondly by the beautiful body lines. These really are good looking cars and not too common on the roads or at shows. He showed me the specs on the 400 plus horse power 347 and asked me what i thought. Although i had a 440 hp 347 in my fox body capri i suggested a 400 plus hp 408 stoker Windsor with almost 500 ft lb of torque to put some good area under the curve to move such a heavy car. Good news is he went with my suggestion with a nice 5 speed behind it. I just wanted to add clarity to the guys about why we put an LS3 motor in this car. It was because we had to build 12 supercar replicas and rebuild 6 classics. And we were under a time crunch because movies are on a tight schedule and I needed all the cars to be extremely reliable and fast. So we picked the LS3 motor because the mechanics were extremely familiar with it and we were able to make a deal buying 18 crate motors at the same time. What I can say about the LS3 motor is that out of all the 18 motors that were in all the cars, we had zero problems with any of them. They all ran amazing. \n\n@slow_5oh Yes I said 490hp in the video because I was quoting the mechanic that built the supercars, but then I went back and checked myself and saw that it's 430hp. That is why I say it in the write up and didn't want to reshoot the interview. Sorry for misrepresenting the facts in the video.
